MEGADETH Members Check In From The Road

December 11, 2009

MEGADETH members Dave Mustaine (guitar, vocals),Shawn Drover (drums) and Chris Broderick (guitar) have posted separate messages in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site. They are reproduced below in their entirety.

Mustaine: "We were able to start planning our tour dates for 2010 and we will be announcing our next South American, European, and Pacific Rim dates in the near future. At the very least in the next week or so. Please stay tuned, and check back over the next few days, because we are sure to have some great news for you!"

Drover: "About half way to Reno, Nevada as I write this. Probably about a 16-hour or so total drive, which suits me just fine. This gives me a chance to get caught up on emails etc. as well as saying a quick hello to you here on our MEGADETH message board and wish you well.

"Things are moving along smoothly out here and with only two shows remaining on this tour leg, I can now reflect on a lot of great times on this American tour.

"It's always good to play shows with my friends in MACHINE HEAD, and I am enjoying watching both SUICIDE SILENCE, WARBRINGER and ARCANIUM when I get a chance.

"I am looking forward to being home for the holiday season with my family and friends, and with that said, I do wish the best to all of you."

Broderick: "There is always something cool about every city we visit and the thing that struck me about Billings, Montana was that the crowd was going crazy (people crowd-surfing, mosh pits, people on other people's shoulders, and shouting at the top of their lungs, almost fanatical). This was the last thing I expected from this laid-back city, so was there a reason? And the only thing I could think of was that, they don't seem to get many concerts here and I also heard that a lot get canceled.

"I hope we get the chance to come back here soon (preferably in the summer when it's warm, hahaha) to play for them again."
