MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE: 'I'm A Poor Kid, Man'

October 23, 2006

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine spoke with Australia's Time Off magazine about the band heading to the country to perform on the Gigantour festival tour. "My family is getting to come to Australia, I'm so excited," he said. "Thank God, thank the fans for making it possible for me to finally afford to bring them down there so they can see how beautiful your country is." When asked how money could be much of a problem for the mighty MEGADETH, Mustaine responded, "Come on, it's so expensive to get someone down to Australia. I'm a poor kid, man, I still love eating McDonalds. I'm not one of those high-brow guys. The most expensive thing you're gonna see me do is take my family in a water taxi to Doyle's so they can have Bugs."
