MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE: 'We Have So Many Dates That We Are Turning Them Down!'

July 1, 2007

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:

"I just wanted to check in real qwik. We are back in Tel Aviv, and the band is in the best 'spirits' I have seen us all in for quite some time now.

"Glen [Drover, guitar] and Shawn [Drover, drums] are already disinfecting a few small square yards of sand to sunbathe all day tomorrow on, and I hear James [Lomenzo] holding court again behind me, as I witnessed last year with the mighty ANTHRAX and hisself in Japan. We are also very ecstatic with the way that the shows all went down this last leg in the UK and Europe.

"I am trying to determine which way the wind is blowing today (metaphorically speaking),and where we will tour next (we have so many dates that we are turning them down!!!),because we are sitting on a really great new record, and we are beside and supported by the best fans in the world.

"I have a list in my cell of all of the territories, and the excitement from the different countries, the promoters, the labels, and most importantly . . . you, our friends and fans from all around the globe.

"I can't wait to take the stage tomorrow night and finish what we started a couple years ago here in Israel. I hope that the young fan that broke his/her leg back then is better and will be at the show.

"Lastly, thanks to everyone that helped serve on this tour bringing this new record and fantastic line-up back to your faithful Droogies and so many countries that we have not had the luxury to play again for some time.

"I wish you were all here with me today; we would've had fun!!!"

(Thanks: Megadeth - Rattlehead HQ)
