MELDRUM: More New Songtitles Revealed
February 12, 2008MELDRUM, the Swedish/American band led by former PHANTOM BLUE guitarist Michelle Meldrum (wife of EUROPE axeman John Norum),is currently in the studio completing the follow-up to 2007's "Blowin' Up The Machine" [2007], due out in the fall. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Insane Asylum", "Desensitized", "Insomniac", "Brutal Instinct" and "Lifer".
MELDRUM's sophomore album, "Blowin' Up The Machine" was released in Europe in May 2007 on Frontiers Records (it came out in the U.S. in October). MOTÖRHEAD mainman Lemmy Kilmister makes a guest appearance on the track "Miss Me When I'm Gone", for which he wrote the lyrics and co-wrote the music. In addition, Gene Hoglan (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, TESTAMENT, DEATH, DARK ANGEL) can be heard on four songs, while guitarist Michelle Meldrum's former PHANTOM BLUE bandmate Linda McDonald was responsible for laying down the drum tracks on the rest of the CD.
Hoglan previously played with Meldrum in the '80s thrash outfit WARGOD.
