MELDRUM Singer's Stockholm Concert To Be Filmed For Upcoming DVD
February 13, 2008Vocalist Moa Holmsten of MELDRUM — the Swedish/American band led by former PHANTOM BLUE guitarist Michelle Meldrum (wife of EUROPE axeman John Norum) — will have her February 16, 2008 solo concert at Teater Scenario in Stockholm, Sweden filmed for an upcoming DVD. She has also announced plans to shoot a video for the song "Bulldozer" at the end of February. According to the singer, "the idea is brilliant! I ain't gonna be pretty...you'll see!"
Holmsten recently posted new versions of her solo tracks "Bulldozer" and "Dance Sing Dream Smell Taste Fuck" on her MySpace page. According to Moa, these songs "have never sounded this fucking good ever! My band's gotta be the best band in the word! Kick back and enjoy those lullabyes straight out of my nightmares diary."

MELDRUM is currently in the studio completing the follow-up to 2007's "Blowin' Up The Machine" [2007], due out in the fall. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Insane Asylum", "Desensitized", "Insomniac", "Brutal Instinct" and "Lifer".
MELDRUM's sophomore album, "Blowin' Up The Machine" was released in Europe in May 2007 on Frontiers Records (it came out in the U.S. in October). MOTÖRHEAD mainman Lemmy Kilmister makes a guest appearance on the track "Miss Me When I'm Gone", for which he wrote the lyrics and co-wrote the music. In addition, Gene Hoglan (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, TESTAMENT, DEATH, DARK ANGEL) can be heard on four songs, while guitarist Michelle Meldrum's former PHANTOM BLUE bandmate Linda McDonald was responsible for laying down the drum tracks on the rest of the CD.
