MELIAH RAGE Guitarist Comments On METAL CHURCH Tour

January 3, 2007

Hot on the heels of the just-released "The Deep and Dreamless Sleep", Boston metallists MELIAH RAGE have secured a month's worth of dates opening for one of the founding fathers of thrash metal, METAL CHURCH. The tour will also include a January 29 date at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City, which will see another thrash metal co-creator, OVERKILL, added to the bill.

"We're really excited about this opportunity to tour with METAL CHURCH," says MELIAH RAGE guitarist Jim Koury. "We've been fans of theirs since the beginning, and then when we toured together in 1989 we had a great time. Our music has been compared to theirs since our first reviews were published, and even now, 17 years later, I'm still honored to share the stage with them."

MELIAH RAGE first burst on the scene in 1985 with "Kill to Survive", and have been riffing and rolling ever since.

"The Deep and Dreamless Sleep" is their seventh release overall, and third for Screaming Ferret Wreckords.
