MERAUDER To Enter Studio In June

April 21, 2008

Long-running New York-based metal/hardcore band MERAUDER will enter Big Blue Meenie Studio on June 10 to begin recording its new album, due before the end of the year.

Big Blue Meenie originally built in 1981 as Quantum Sound has hosted an array of artists of all genres, including RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, INXS, P.O.D., EVANESCENCE and CREED.

In other news, MERAUDER has announced the addition of drummer Bobby Blood (ex-CREMATORIUM, FIRST BLOOD) to the group's ranks.

MERAUDER will be on tour in Europe throughout July, and is scheduled to appear at the Dour Open Air (Belgium) and Zwarte Cross Open Air (Lichtenvoorde, Holland) festivals.

A new MERAUDER song, entitled "Until", is available for streaming on the group's MySpace page.

Former MERAUDER guitarist Sob (real name: Javier Carpio) passed away in April 2006 at the age of 33. A founding member of the acclaimed New York-based metal/hardcore act, Sob played on all three of the band's albums 1996's "Master Killer", 1999's "5 Deadly Venoms" and 2003's "Bluetality" which were released through the Century Media label.
