MERCENARY Drummer Breaks Leg

February 16, 2006

Drummer Mike Park of the Danish metallers MERCENARY broke his leg in a minor accident last week, according to a posting on the band's official web site. "As it was a clean and uncomplicated break, Mike is expected to recover quickly and this will not delay MERCENARY's upcoming album recordings during March and May," the posting adds.

As previously reported, MERCENARY's as-yet-untitled fifth full-length album is tentatively due late summer via Century Media Records. The CD will be recorded at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark with producer Jacob Hansen (HATESPHERE, INVOCATOR, RAUNCHY).

MERCENARY's fourth full-length album, "11 Dreams", will be released in Brazil on March 20 through Overload Records. The CD, which was released in the U.S. in February 2005 via Century Media, was produced by Jacob Hansen and includes a cover version of KENT's hit single "Music Non Stop". Artwork duties were handled by Niklas Sundin (DARK TRANQUILLITY, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY).

MERCENARY will be supporting KING DIAMOND on the following dates:

Jun. 10 - De Lantaarn – Hellendoorn, NETH
Jun. 11 - 013 – Tilburg, NETH
