MERCENARY: 'The Endless Fall' Video Available

February 6, 2009

"The Endless Fall", the new video from Danish metallers MERCENARY, can be viewed below. The song comes off the band's latest album, "Architect of Lies", which was released last year through Century Media Records. Featuring artwork by Niklas Sundin (ARCH ENEMY, DARK TRANQUILLITY),"Architect of Lies" was made available as a regular CD and a special limited-edition version featuring the bonus track "Death Connection" and a bonus DVD containing live footage filmed at Bang Your Head!!! festival 2007 and Summer Nights festival 2007, a detailed studio report and the promo video for "My World Is Ending".

Commented the band: "When we entered 2009, we had the feeling that 2008 would be a hard year to top — we'd just returned from a really great tour with ARCH ENEMY in December (who needless to say rocked our proverbial socks off every night — one of the greatest live acts we've ever seen),we'd done the Danish Headbanger's Ball tour with RAUNCHY, we'd played our biggest show ever on Wacken, and last but not least, we had the honour of serving time on stage as support for the almighty MEGADETH on a handful of shows. Truly a great experience, and a lesson well learned for us — no matter how big you get or how many million albums you sell, there's always time to show respect for bands a zillion times smaller than yours. No matter what anybody says or writes, we'll always remember Dave Mustaine as a truly humble and helluva funny guy, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome and who made sure we were treated well by his crew on these few dates. We even got to share the stage with MEGADETH, singing badly out-of-tune backing vocals for 'Peace Sells' on one of the shows, which was to say the least, surreal.

"Well, so, here we are in 2009 and what a way to start the year! We got nominated for a Danish Music Award (a Grammy) for 'Architect Of Lies' in the category 'Hard Rock Album of the Year'. Needless to say, we're immensely proud of this in a country that's dead set on keeping metal out of the media and shove it as far into the underground as possible. So, this is at least a chance to roar our ugly mugs at the establishment!

"Furthermore, we have a brand new music video for the track 'The Endless Fall' ready for you all, which features live shots from Wacken 2008 combined with some very cool shots and killer special effects from Chilean director Carlos Toro. It's a little gift directly from the band to the fans out there and we really hope you will enjoy the shit out of it!"

In other news, MERCENARY guitarist Martin Buus will take part in an Ibanez guitar clinic on February 12 at the AAGE music store in Aarhus at 19.00 CET.
