MESHUGGAH Launch T-Shirt Contest

April 19, 2004

Swedish experimental extreme metallers MESHUGGAH are inviting their artistically-inclined fans to design a new t-shirt for the group. [Vocalist] Jens [Kidman] (or somebody) will judge it and declare a winner," the group's webmaster writes in MESHUGGAH's official forum. "If the winning one is good enough it may be considered for a 'real' honest-to-God MESHUGGAH t-shirt (no promises). If that doesn't fly, then I may consider making it into a t-shirt available through the forum. We can all wear them to concerts and be cool...

"I'll set a deadline in a month or so once we start getting entries. Try and make the images pretty high resolution considering it may be used to print shirts. Post a link to your entry online once it's done or contact me about emailing it."

MESHUGGAH recently signed a new deal with Nuclear Blast Records and have announced plans to record a new studio album, tentatively titled "Catch 33", later in the year. MESHUGGAH's last album under their previous contract with Nuclear Blast was 2002's "Nothing". Plans still exist for MESHUGGAH to release a one-song EP (clocking in at over 20 minutes) through Fractured Transmitter Records (the label formed by MUSHROOMHEAD vocalist Jason Mann).
