MESHUGGAH's TOMAS HAAKE Is Metal's Top Drummer

MESHUGGAH's Tomas Haake has been named the #1 drummer in the "Metal" category in Modern Drummer magazine's 2008 Readers' Poll. The Readers' Poll results appear in the July 2008 issue of the magazine, available on newsstands now.

MESHUGGAH recently finished the U.S. leg of MINISTRY's final world tour C U LaTouR which kicked off March 25 in Spokane, Washington and concluded on May 11 in Chicago, Illinois. The trek also featured opening act HEMLOCK.

MESHUGGAH's latest album, "obZen", sold 11,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 59 on The Billboard 200 chart. This is substantially more than the 7,000 first-week total achieved by its predecessor, "Catch 33", which landed at No. 170 on The Billboard 200 chart back in June 2005.
