MESHUGGAH To Guest On 'Chaos With Full Metal Jackie' This Sunday

January 10, 2008

Swedish experimental extreme metallers MESHUGGAH will be the featured guests on Indie 103.1 FM's specialty metal program "Chaos with Full Metal Jackie" this Sunday (January 13) at 10:00 p.m. PST (1:00 a.m. EST Monday morning). This will also mark the radio debut of the track "Bleed" from the band's upcoming record "ObZen".

To listen to the show live via the Internet, go to this location. The program also airs on KNAC.COM Monday nights between 7 and 9 p.m. PST (and again on Sunday mornings between 7 and 9 a.m.).

"obZen" is scheduled for release in North American on March 11, 2008 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2005's "Catch Thirty Three" will contain nine songs and will have a running time of around 55 minutes.

In a recent interview with Decibel magazine, Haake stated about the new record, "The album is much more dense, while still being very clear and audible as far as drumparts and guitar riffs. Lyrically it's quite different from 'Catch Thirty Three', more diverse. There is, however, somewhat of a 'red line' or concept running through all of them."

"obZen" (cover artwork) track listing:

01. Combustion
02. Electric Red
03. Bleed
04. Lethargica
05. ObZen
06. This Spiteful Snake
07. Pineal Gland Optics
08. Pravus
09. Dancers To A Discordant System

MESHUGGAH will support MINISTRY on the North American leg of "C U LaTouR" beginning on March 26 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Also appearing on the bill is HEMLOCK.
