METAL CHURCH 'Postpone' European Tour

February 7, 2005

METAL CHURCH have postponed their previously announced European tour to late spring/early summer. The group's official statement reads as follows:

"To our European fans, we just wanted to let you know that we apologize for the confusion surrounding our upcoming tour, which was to start in March 2005. Our record company has advised us to postpone and reschedule a tour for late spring/early summer, in order to have proper promotion and organization. New dates are coming in as we speak, and we will be posting them here the minute they are confirmed. One date that IS confirmed is the Wacken festival. We can't wait to get there, and are looking forward to kicking ass all over Europe as soon as we can!"

Meanwhile, the organizers of Holland's Raise Your Fist festival, which METAL CHURCH were due to headline prior to their tour postponement, have slammed the band for withdrawing from the event and "canceling their European tour for the third time." In a statement posted on the festival's web site, the organizers wrote, "Shortly after the announcement that METAL CHURCH would play on Raise Your Fist festival, the band had the guts to cancel their tour for the third time. Reason: Unknown!!! So they will not play as headliner on Raise Your Fist festival. Thanks guys, we appreciate this!!!"
