METAL INSURGENCE TOUR 2005: Both Canadian Shows Postponed Until Next Year

September 11, 2005

According to a posting on guitarist Chris Caffery's (SAVATAGE) web site, both Canadian shows on the Metal Insurgence Tour 2005 — featuring Caffery's solo project CHRIS CAFFERY'S FACES alongside JON OLIVA'S PAIN (led by SAVATAGE mastermind Jon Oliva) and BEYOND FEAR (fronted by former JUDAS PRIEST and current ICED EARTH singer Tim "Ripper" Owens) — have been postponed until "next year."

Says Caffery: "I found out late last night that there were complications that were causing us to postpone the Canadian dates to next year.

"Exactly what? Exactly why?

"Well, in some ways you can blame 9-11. Don't blame Canada... Things have changed... the borders have changed... life has changed...

"I am on my tour bus watching the Jets game. They look like crap. I have high speed and a sattellite TV...there is a Denny's and a Dunkin Donuts...

"We will survive!

"Right now we are looking for venues to play last minute...if you have any ideas let me know. We have bus, will travel!!!!

"We will donate proceeds to charities...we just want to go somewhere and play!

"The shows have been fun, I tried my in-ear monitors for the first time last night, I loved it. It is so much easier to sing!!!

"We did 'Election Day', 'WARPED' and 'State of The Head' for the first time last night. Lots of fun! We also had a special guest sing on 'Power of the Night'!"
