METALLICA Announce Headlining Show In Utah

METALLICA will take a night off from the Summer Sanitarium tour — also featuring LIMP BIZKIT and LINKIN PARK, among others — to play their only music amphitheater of the summer in Utah, Aug. 6, headlining at the Usana Amphitheater in West Valley City. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 9 a.m. at all Smith's Tix outlets and the E Center. An opening act and show time are to be announced. Tickets for METALLICA are $38 for general admission lawn seating, and $54 for reserved seats.

In other news, METALLICA have finally confirmed their participation in next year's Big Day Out festival in Australia and New Zealand. In addition, the group will perform several headlining shows between festival dates.

Jan. 28 - Melbourne, AUS @ Myer Music Bowl (headlining)
Jan. 30 - Adelaide, AUS @ Royal Showground (Big Day Out)
Feb. 01 - Perth, AUS @ Claremont Showground (Big Day Out)

Tickets for the Big Day Out Shows will go on sale October 10. Tickets for the headlining Brisbane show are still available.
