METALLICA Guitarist Performs On New SANTANA Album: Audio Available

September 22, 2005

As most METALLICA fans have heard by now, the group's lead guitarist, Kirk Hammett, was asked by legendary guitarist Carlos Santana to contribute to the multi-Grammy-winning artist's upcoming release, "All That I Am". The CD, which features Kirk on the track the instrumental track "Trinity", will be in stores on November 1. In the meantime, you can listen to the full song "Trinity" — which also boasts harmonized guitars from Carlos Santana and pedal-steel virtuoso Robert Randolph — at this location.

Kirk has previously worked with Carlos in 2001 at a live show benefit in San Francisco. Carlos was also invited into METALLICA's studio in 2002 while the band were recording "St. Anger".
