METALLICA-Inspired Classically Trained Duo HARPTALLICA Releases Debut

June 7, 2007

Clasically trained harp duo HARPTALLICA has released its self-produced debut, "Harptallica - A Tribute" on iTunes to coincide with the completion of the full-length CD. Tour dates are to be announced across the Midwest and East Coast in September.

Ashley Toman and Patricia Kline, both recipients of Master of Music Degrees from Rochester, NY's Eastman School of Music, formed HARPTALLICA originally to perform a series of arrangements based on the music of METALLICA. The duo's arrangements bring the famed metal band's songs into a new light, illuminating the comfortable transition metal makes into classical music theory and opening those songs to a wider array of listeners.

While taking the next step in bringing their harps on the road, HARPTALLICA hopes both to introduce audiences to new and original combinations of musical styles and to of course give tribute to a band they were both introduced to as a "musical giant": METALLICA.
