METALLICA, LINKIN PARK, SLIPKNOT, KORN Set For Scotland's DOWNLOAD Festival

January 24, 2004

Sunday Mail is reporting that METALLICA, LINKIN PARK, SLIPKNOT, KORN, MACHINE HEAD and AUDIOSLAVE have all been either confirmed or "approached" to appear at Download 2004 in Glasgow June 2-3.

The bill for the new Scottish festival will be unveiled next week on Radio One and also at a press conference in Glasgow.

An audience of 35,000 rock fans is expected each day and tickets will go on sale soon.

Last summer, the first ever Download festival attracted a huge audience to Donington Park.

Now it's also being staged again at Donington and for the first time in Scotland. Organizers CPL and DF Concerts hope it will become an annual event to rival T In The Park.
