METALLICA: More Book Signing Details Revealed

More details have been announced regarding METALLICA's "So What: The Good, The Mad, and The Ugly" book signing in Minnesota on August 16. To get your book signed, you must get a special wristband, which will be available at the following locations:

As previously reported, "So What! The Good, The Mad and The Ugly" (view cover here),due on August 17 through Broadway Books, will be issued as an over-sized hardcover and will include more than 1,000 photographs, bandmembers' handwritten entries, drawings, and reflections, and roundtable discussions with the group at its most revealing. Archival materials, including band photos and exclusive interviews and features, were compiled from "So What!", the official METALLICA fan club magazine. Current band members James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo have added new material, including an introduction and hand-written notes and comments throughout. The book was edited by Steffan Chirazi, full-time chronicler of the band and editor of "So What!" magazine, a quarterly that is mailed to 20,000 members of the METALLICA fan club.

In other news, IFC Films are running a contest for a chance to win a 30-minute Q&A interview over the phone with the filmmakers of the METALLICA documentary "Metallica: Some Kind of Monster"Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky. Bring 10 friends to a screening between July 28 and August 3, preferably a daytime show. Send your name, the names in your group, the theater and showtime you attended, and your phone number to [email protected]. Winner will be drawn on Wednesday, August 4. One entry per group. Winner must present ticket stubs for whole group.
