METALLICA Rocks Out Glendale Crowd In Final Tour Rehearsal

October 21, 2008

Larry Rodgers of The Arizona Republic reports that on the eve of launching one of the fall's biggest concert tours, METALLICA rocked out for a small Glendale crowd on Monday (October 20) in its final rehearsal.

The group ran through much of its two-hour show at Jobing.com Arena before about 500 friends, family and fans picked through fan-club and radio contests.

"This is the second time in a row we're opening a tour here," co-founder and drummer Lars Ulrich said backstage. "It's always been great for METALLICA in Phoenix."

Arizona is attractive for tour launches because it is close to the group's home in California, he said.
