METALLICA's FMQB Special To Be Hosted By DAVE GROHL, TAYLOR HAWKINS

August 28, 2008

According to FMQB.com, next week's FMQB Productions broadcast special, "Metallica: The World Premiere Of Death Magnetic", will be hosted by FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl and drummer Taylor Hawkins. The pair will sit down with METALLICA for a live broadcast from 'TALLICA HQ on Thursday, September 4, giving an exclusive look into one of the most anticipated albums of 2008.

METALLICA made it official with the following post on its web site: "You may have heard a little something about a radio show being broadcast live from our very own HQ . . . well, we figured it would be a lot more fun if we invited some 'TALLICA fans to come hang with us and low and behold, one thing led to another and FOO FIGHTERS' Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins actually said 'yes!' So on Thursday, September 4, we're going to hang out, play tracks from 'Death Magnetic' and chat with Dave and Taylor."

"The World Premiere Of Death Magnetic" will air on stations across the country starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. The 60-minute program will feature James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo giving fans an exclusive look at "Death Magnetic". Keep an eye out at Metallica.com for a listing of stations carrying this program... or call your local rock station and ask them about it. "Death Magnetic" hits the streets worldwide on Friday, September 12.

Earlier this year, Grohl told Metal Hammer magazine how psyched he was for METALLICA's return. Grohl said, "I can't wait to hear the new shit, and no matter what you guys do I'll always be first one at the shop waiting to hear it. I'm sure you'll come out and blow everybody's fuckin' minds, because you're fuckin' METALLICA! Good luck. And don't release it until it's kick-ass." He jokingly added, "P.S. Are you finished recording the drums yet?"
