METALLICA's KIRK HAMMETT Interviewed In Peru; Video Available

Peru's Netjoven conducted an interview with METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett shortly after the band's arrival in Lima earlier today (January 19). Watch the chat below.

METALLICA is scheduled to perform tonight at the University of San Marcos Stadium in Lima. According to LivingInPeru.com, the band is staying at Swissotel, in the Limenian district of San Isidro, where a number of fans were waiting to see if they could get a chance to meet their idols.

More than 400 police officers will be in charge of the security at tonight's concert, which is expected to draw a crowd of more than 40,000 fans.

Although the band has not disclosed any details on its performance, they will reportedly play on a large stage measuring 21 x 19 meters, with a huge screen in the middle. They have also brought along nine trucks full of light and sound equipment as well as special effects and pyrotechnics.
