METALLICA's 'mtvICON' Rehearsal Photos Posted Online!

A bunch of photos of METALLICA, LIMP BIZKIT and SUM 41 rehearsing Friday (May 2) on Universal Studios Stage 12 in Universal City, California for tonight's MTV "mtvICON" special dedicated to METALLICA have been posted online. As previously reported, "mtvICON"'s METALLICA special will feature spoken tributes from members of AEROSMITH, STAIND, LINKIN PARK and BLINK-182, as well as from Lisa Marie Presley, Lara Flynn Boyle, Sean Penn and Jim Breuer. Due to a "schedule conflict", former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash, one of the originally announced speakers at "mtvICON", will NOT be appearing on the show and will instead be making his way to the Kentucky Derby for an appearance there. KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, SUM 41 and AVRIL LAVIGNE will perform musical tributes to METALLICA at the event, which is scheduled to be taped tonight (May 3) and broadcast by the music network on Tuesday, May 6 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). MICHELLE BRANCH, ROB ZOMBIE and members of PUDDLE OF MUDD are also expected to attend.
