METALLICA-Signed Gibson Flying V Guitar Gift For Latin Star

March 16, 2010

According to Gear4Music.com, a Gibson Flying V guitar signed by METALLICA was given to Colombian musician Juanes at the annual Latin Music Awards ceremony, in which he picked up BMI's President Award.

Juanes said he was deeply moved to be given the Flying V guitar by Gibson, especially as METALLICA are his musical heroes.

"More than 20 years ago, I purchased my first electric guitar. It was for the largest band in the world — METALLICA," he said.

"I feel like a 14-year-old."

The recipient of 17 Latin Grammy awards and a Grammy with worldwide album sales in excess of 14 million, Juanes is also a committed humanitarian, and was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine.
