April 13, 2015

On April 11, Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT, STONE SOUR),John 5 (ROB ZOMBIE, MARILYN MANSON) and Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX) took part in a horror panel discussion at METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett's second annual Fear FestEvil in San Jose, California. Video footage of the event — courtesy of Bay Area Backstage — can be seen below.

Fear FestEvil kicked off last year in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom. The inaugural event featured highlights of Hammett's world-famous Crypt Collection, an array of panels and guest speakers, live musical performances, and various on-site vendors.

"I just had so much fun doing it last year, and it was such a pleasure and it was so cool and I got to meet a lot of really great people and experience a lot of great things," Hammett told WMMR. "I got to display my collection, which actually means the most to me is just people seeing my collection. Yeah, we had some really great music and a good time was had by all... We knew that we were crossing genres here; we were blending the horror fan with the metal fan and hoping that we could... draw from those genres... But I went into it more so just having fun and hoping that it would be a success and hoping it would be enough of a success to keep doing it. And for me, it was such a… it was so great. Every aspect of it was great."
