METALLICA: Stockholm Show Rescheduled

March 12, 2009

METALLICA's March 8, 2009 concert at Globen in Stockholm, Sweden — which was cancelled after the band's frontman James Hetfield came down with a suspected case of food poisoning — has been rescheduled for May 4. The group writes on its web site, "The ticket that you have for the show originally planned for Sunday will be your entry to the Globen for the May 4 show. If, for some reason, you cannot join us on that day, please visit the place you purchased the tickets for a full refund."

The band adds, "Again, our sincere apologies to all of you who travelled from near and far to Stockholm. As a minor token of our appreciation, and hopefully to make up for some of your inconvenience, everyone who goes to the May 4 show will receive a free download of that night's show at www.livemetallica.com. As you enter the arena that night, you'll be handed a card with instructions on how to get your free mp3 of the show."

An official Metallica.com clip of METALLICA performing the song "No Remorse" last Saturday night (March 7) at Globen in Stockholm, Sweden can be viewed below. Also available is METALLICA's backstage/tuning room jam footage of "Helpless" and "That Was Just Your Life".
