METALLICA To Perform At '2003 MTV Video Music Awards'

METALLICA are the latest addition to the performance lineup for the "2003 MTV Video Music Awards", to be held Aug. 28 at New York's Radio City Music Hall. They join previously announced performers MARY J. BLIGE, 50 CENT, GOOD CHARLOTTE, COLDPLAY and CHRISTINA AGUILERA.

As previously reported, METALLICA's "St. Anger" has been nominated in the "Best Rock Video" category at the event. Other videos nominated in the "Best Rock Video" category are EVANESCENCE's "Bring Me To Life", LINKIN PARK's "Somewhere I Belong", THE WHITE STRIPES' "Seven Nation Army", and GOOD CHARLOTTE's "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous". The "2003 VMAs" will broadcast on Thursday, August 28 at 8:00 p.m. (LIVE ET/Tape Delayed PT). The show will be hosted by Chris Rock.
