METALLICA To Perform In United Arab Emirates For First Time

METALLICA will make its first-ever live appearance in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on October 25 at Yas Island.

Commented the band: "After 30 years of travel to all corners of the earth, this one is extra special as the show kicks off a week of new territories for us as this show will be followed by two nights in India."

Shatha Al Romaithi, a spokesperson for the organizers, Flash Entertainment, said METALLICA in Abu Dhabi was one show rock fans could not afford to miss.

"We promised you more big things for the new season of [the] Yas Island Show Weekends [series], and nothing is bigger than METALLICA," she told Emirates247.com. "METALLICA has redefined the model for hard rock music."

Since its launch in 2010, Yas Island Show Weekends have entertained more than 150,000 spectators, with acts including NELLY FURTADO, GUNS N' ROSES, THE JONAS BROTHERS and STEVIE WONDER.
