METALLICA: TV Appearances Announced

METALLICA's web site has been updated with the following mesage:

"Two shows for you to check out depending on where you live. For our friends in the States, check out the the Independent Film Channel (IFC) on Tuesday, October 7 at 9:45 p.m. EST for our appearance on 'Automat'. The music portion of that evening will feature behind-the-scenes info on the making of 'The Day That Never Comes' video, and exclusive interview footage with Lars [Ulrich, drums] discussing it. For more info, check out IFC.com. And for our friends in France, we'll be on 'Taratata' on October 15 on F4 as part of the one-hour show including interviews, a live performance, and behind-the-scenes footage. METALLICA's ninth studio album, "Death Magnetic", remained at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart for the third straight week, with the disc selling another 132,000 copies since arriving on September 12, Although sales figures released on Wednesday (October 1) indicated a 61 percent drop from the previous week, the CD has still racked up total sales of 959,000 copies. "Death Magnetic" is also only the second album of 2008 to top the chart for three straight weeks, following JACK JOHNSON's "Sleep Through The Static".
