METALLICA: Video Footage From Last Night's L.A. Concert Available

The first fan-filmed video footage of METALLICA's concert last night (Wednesday, May 14) at a benefit show at the 2,200-seat Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles can be viewed below.

All proceeds from the show will go to the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a nonprofit music school for low income students that was co-founded by RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS bassist Flea. The opening act was SCARS ON BROADWAY, the new group featuring SYSTEM OF A DOWN guitarist Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan. Money raised from the show will go towards programs, operations and scholarships at the school, as well as a summer camp program and funds for a new building.

METALLICA will also play this week in Tucson, Arizona on Friday (May 16) and Irvine, California on Saturday (May 17),both radio festivals. The band is also one of the headliners at Tennessee's Bonnaroo festival in mid-June.
