'Metalopolis' To Pay Memorial Day Tribute To Metal's Fallen Heroes

Portland, Oregon's weekly heavy metal program "Metalopolis", hosted by former WHITE ZOMBIE drummer Ivan de Prume, will pay a special Memorial Day weekend tribute to metal's fallen heroes this Saturday night, May 23, 2009. Among those being honored are Cliff Burton (METALLICA),"Dimebag" Darrell Abbott (PANTERA),Chuck Schuldiner (DEATH),Paul Baloff (EXODUS),Quorthon (BATHORY) and many other noteworthy individuals from the heavy metal world who have passed away. This is a very special show that will celebrate the achievements and work of those brave few who shared the gift of heavy metal with us to let the world know that we have not forgotten about them.

"Metalopolis" airs from 10:00 p.m. to midnight every Saturday on Portland's "rock authority" 101.1 KUFO.
