MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP Replaces OPETH At Spain's LORCA ROCK Festival

July 16, 2008

MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP (MSG) has replaced OPETH on the billing of the Lorca Rock festival, set to take place July 25-26 at Huerto de la Rueda in Lorca (Murcia),Spain.

OPETH called off its participation in Lorca Rock last month, citing "financial" reasons following the cancellation of the 2008 edition of Portugal's Lagoa Burning Live festival. The Lorca Rock organizers have since issued a statement claiming that they increased OPETH's fee for playing the event by as much as 25% in an attempt to keep the band on the bill, but to no avail.
