MICHAEL SCHENKER: More UK Dates Announced

Legendary German guitarist Michael Schenker has scheduled the following UK dates under the MICHAEL SCHENKER & FRIENDS banner:

Jan. 12 - Riffs - Blackpool
Jan. 16 - Riga - Southend
Jan. 17 - Boom Boom Club - Sutton
Jan. 24 - Princess Pavilion - Falmouth
Jan. 26 - Twist - Colchester
Feb. 09 - Academy 3 - Manchester
Feb. 10 - Boardwalk - Sheffield
Feb. 17 - Thekla - Bristol
Feb. 18 - Waterfront - Norwich
Feb. 22 - Cathouse - Glasgow

Schenker is scheduled to release a new MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP (MSG) album in April called "In the Midst Of Beauty", which will feature returning MSG singer Gary Barden, drummer Simon Philips (THE WHO, TOTO),bassist Neil Murray (BLACK SABBATH, WHITESNAKE) and keyboardist Don Airey (DEEP PURPLE, OZZY OSBOURNE).

Michael Schenker's UK tour this past summer was cut short due to a "multitude of events beyond the band's control, including Michael's," according to a posting on Schenker's MySpace page.

Schenker's final gig in the UK took place on August 3 in Stourbridge, U.K. when Michael ended up calling off the concert after only a handful of songs.
