February 4, 2004

Norwegian extreme metal band MINDGRINDER, featuring ex-SOURCE OF TIDE drummer/keyboardist Cosmocrator, have posted several audio clips from their forthcoming debut album, "MindTech", at this location. Available for preview are edited versions of the tracks "Repulsive Evolution" and "Regeneration" as well as a full version of the track "Deception". All tracks are in MP3 format.

As previously reported, "MindTech" was recorded in December 2002 at Akkerhaugen Lydstudio (EMPEROR, ZYKLON, WINDIR) and is scheduled for release in April through Nocturnal Art Productions.

"MindTech", which was originally slated for release through Sound Riot Records (a plan that was eventually abandoned due to the label's "financial problems"),features 10 tracks of "hard-hitting aggressive metal" and includes a video for the track "Fire & Equanimity" as well as "astonishing" artwork by Dragonweb Productions.

MINDGRINDER, already experienced in the live arena, are now putting the final touches to their live set. The band have been given a slot at this year's By:Larm — Norway's biggest music industry event — which is being held Feb. 12-15, 2004 in Bergen. By:Larm combines music-related business conferences and workshops with showcases of up-and-coming bands. The group have also been confirmed for the Inferno Festival in April. They are scheduled to take the stage at the John Dee venue in Oslo on Saturday, April 10 at approximately 6:50 p.m.
