MINISTRY/PRONG's TOMMY VICTOR Interviewed; Video Available
October 6, 2008A 13-minute video interview with Tommy Victor (MINISTRY, PRONG) conducted by Romania's BringTheNoise can be viewed below.
The U.S. leg of MINISTRY's final world tour — C U LaTouR — kicked off March 25 in Spokane, Washington and concluded on May 11 in Chicago, Illinois. The trek featured special guests MESHUGGAH and opening act HEMLOCK.
PRONG's latest album, "Power of the Damager", sold 1,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD "maintains the razor-sharp signature riffs band founder Tommy Victor has perfected over the last 20 years while harkening back to the rawness of PRONG's pioneering years as industrial metal's native son," according to a press release. "Most notable is the record's in-your-face production, which came courtesy of Victor himself."
Joining Victor in the PRONG trio is bassist Monte Pittman, a PRONG veteran who does double-duty as tour guitarist for none other than MADONNA, and drummer Aaron Rossi.
"Power of the Damager" is PRONG's first release for MINISTRY mainman Al Jourgensen's 13th Planet Records, a relationship that was kindled while Victor played with Jourgensen in MINISTRY.
