MISERY SPEAKS Parts Ways With Singer, Announces Replacement

July 11, 2008

German melodic death metal outfit MISERY SPEAKS has amicably parted ways with singer Claus Ulka. His replacement in the group is Przemek Golomb, who previously handled the vocal duties in SEVENTH SEAL BROKEN. Przemek made his live debut with MISERY SPEAKS this past weekend at the With Full Force (Germany) and Metalcamp (Slovenia) festivals.

Commented the band: "We are very, very sad about the fact that we had to part ways with Claus. But he wasn't able to continue as the MISERY SPEAKS frontman due to his lack of time because of his work. He is a founding member of this band and damn...we had lots of fun within the last years. We will always remember all the good and the bad times we had together with a big fuckin' smile on our faces!! We hope he will stay true to his love, the music and will continue making music. Of course, we wish him all the best for that and for his work in the future!!"

The group added, "We decided to take Przemek as our new singer because we are absolutely sure that he's the perfect man for this job. We had the opportunity to watch him as a singer on stage lots of times and played some shows with him as a replacement singer as well. The fact that we get along with each other very well beside the stage too makes us more than sure that we made the right decision."

MISERY SPEAKS's sophomore album, "Catalogue of Carnage", was released in January 2008 via Drakkar Records. The CD was recorded at Rape of Harmonies studio with Alexander Dietz, Ralf Müller and Patrick W. Engel and was mixed by Dan Swanö (EDGE OF SANITY) at Unisound in Sweden.
