MNEMIC: New Studio Report Available

MNEMIC guitarist Mircea Gabriel Eftemie has posted the following studio report on the band's official blog:

"These last couple of days [Track Record Studios in Los Angeles] have been really fun and exciting. Brian [Rasmussen, drums] has been transformed into a terminator, or to be more accurate, a furious Quiznos-eating-machine behind his drumkit. He basically and violently has been beating the shit out of his drums, nailing 13 tracks in 3 days, recorded all sorts of samples the fourth day, and on the fifth, I wasnt there...so I cant tell you what happened, ha! But all in all, this is the first time he's nailed all the songs so fast, which is really cool, and maybe it's because we are more prepared than ever this time, who knows..?

"To celebrate Brian's exquisite drum recording, [co-producer] Warren [Riker, DOWN, CATHEDRAL] got really excited and got totally set up on having the runner go and get everybody some Milf Mania and assorted men's mags — which the runner refused in the first place, but later got convinced with the words 'Dont act like you've never touched your penis, you fag.'

"Guillaume [Bideau, ex-SCARVE; vocals] luckily got here last week. We thought it would have taken a lot more time, with all the visa bullshit but he finally made it, and we are happy to see him and cant wait to hear him lay down some of those amazing vocals!

"The guys have been playing a lot of Halo / Xbox. I fried my cellphone while jumping in the swimming pool and everything is going according to the plan. This week we will be starting with the guitars, so be sure to check back on this space."

The current sessions mark the first time that MNEMIC have recorded in America and represent the second production project of FEAR FACTORY guitarist Christian Olde Wolbers for Nuclear Blast, as he recently turned the knobs for THREAT SIGNAL's debut "Under Reprisal" (due out August 22 in North America). He commented recently, "I'm honored to get the opportunity to work with MNEMIC, and I am actually a fan of the band."

The follow-up to 2004's "The Audio Injected Soul", MNEMIC's new album is due out in early 2007.
