MNEMIC To Go 'Three-Dimensional' On Upcoming CD

August 3, 2004

Denmark's modern thrashers MNEMIC, featuring former INVOCATOR session drummer Brian Rasmussen and ex-MERCENARY guitarist Mircea G. Eftemie, have announced that their upcoming sophomore album, "The Audio Injected Soul", will contain three-dimensional sounds. Being the first band in the world to work with this new technology, some of the sounds featured on the album have been recorded using Binaural Techniques. Binaural recording technology differs from Mono, Stereo and Surround Sound and is mostly used in game development. In order to experience the 3D sound you must wear a head-set. For a demonstration, listen to a sample of the 3D sound here.

As previously reported, MNEMIC have set a September 27 release date through Nuclear Blast Records for their sophomore album, "The Audio Injected Soul". The follow-up to last year's "Mechanical Spin Phenomena" was recorded at AntFarm Studios in Aarhus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen and is said to be is "much faster and more dynamic" than its predecessor. Songs samples from the new album will be posted very soon.
