MODERN DAY ESCAPE Signs With STANDBY RECORDS

April 29, 2009

Orlando, Florida-based screamo/rock outfit MODERN DAY ESCAPE has inked a deal with the Cleveland label Standby Records. The band will enter Chin Music Studios in Cleveland with producers Don Debiase (BENEATH THE SKY, DRIVER SIDE IMPACT) and Johnny Burke (FOREVER IN TERROR, VICE ON VICTORY) to begin recording its new full-length album, due later in the year.

Commented singer James Vegas: "We're not looking to reinvent the wheel with this new album, we're just trying to make a wheel that runs smoother." Guitarist/vocalist Marti Rubels added, "With our new songs, we've elaborated on our sound in every possible direction. Our songs have a little something for everyone." Guitarist Nic said, "We all dedicated all of our time and hearts to writing this new album. It's our blood, souls, sweat, and tears set in tracks to introduce us to the world without any compromise."

MODERN DAY ESCAPE has been featured in AMP magazine as part of the "21 Young Gun Salute" (21 Bands That Will Own in 2009) and has also had its tracks featured on television shows like MTV's "Real World v. Road Rules", E!'s "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and Oxygen's "Bad Girls Club".
