MONGREL To Support HOOKERS N' BLOW, MICHALE GRAVES

August 31, 2006

New England area punk/rock/metal band MONGREL will be supporting Dizzy Reed's (GUNS N' ROSES keyboardist) cover band HOOKERS N' BLOW this Saturday, September 2 at The Compound in Fitchburg, MA. MONGREL is also slated to support former MISFITS frontman Michale Graves for a double header of shows on September 9 as the Almost Home tour in support of the West Memphis 3 hits Reflections in Chelmsford, MA for an all-ages afternoon show, followed by a show at The Brickhouse in Dover, NH that evening.

MONGREL's sound blends a mix of old-school punk influences, aggressive hard rock, and metal for fans of bands such as the MISFITS, BLACK FLAG, GUNS N' ROSES, THE DEAD BOYS, old METALLICA, ANTHRAX, VELVET REVOLVER, STONE SOUR, AMEN, and THE BRONX. This blend of influences can be heard on the recently released full-length album, "Fear, Lies, & Propaganda", which has received airplay on major area stations WAAF, WBCN, and WFNX. MONGREL has been called "the hardest-working band in Boston" by Acey Slade (TRASHLIGHT VISION, ex-MURDERDOLLS/DOPE) in Metal Edge magazine, picked for the Raw Talent section in Revolver magazine, and has done multiple shows with such bands as the MISFITS, MICHALE GRAVES, HOOKERS N' BLOW, TRASHLIGHT VISION, THE INDEPENDENTS, and PIGGY D AND THE EVACUATION PLAN (featuring Pig from ROB ZOMBIE, ex-AMEN).
