MONSTER MAGNET Announce New Drummer, Line Up 'Surprise' London Gig

December 3, 2003

MONSTER MAGNET have announced the addition of drummer Bob Pantella to the group's ranks. Pantella has been in several bands (including RAGING SLAB) and is currently playing with New Jersey blues musician Matt O'Rea in the BLUES HOUNDS and in Lee Stuart's (HALFWAY TO GONE) new band A THOUSAND KNIVES OF FIRE.

In other news, MONSTER MAGNET are rumored to be playing a "surprise" show in London this Friday (December 5) at The Barfly. Entrance is £5 and showtime is 10:00 p.m. No advance tickets will be sold for this concert.

MONSTER MAGNET will headline the upcoming WRAT show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey on December 27.

As previously reported, MONSTER MAGNET recently completed work on their new album, tentatively entitled "Monolithic Babies", with producer Scott Humphrey (ROB ZOMBIE, SPINESHANK, ANDREW W.K.). The CD — the group's first with bassist Jim Baglino (LORD STERLING) — will feature such cuts as "Master Of Light", "On the Verge", "Slut Machine Mach 2", "Ultimate Everything", "Monolithic Babies" and "Little Bag Of Gloom". An early 2004 release through SPV Records is expected.
