MONSTROSITY: Colombia Dates Announced

May 22, 2009

Long-running Florida death metallers MONSTROSITY have scheduled two shows in Colombia in August:

Aug. 16 - Ibague, Colombia - Ibague Ciudad Musical de Colombia Festival
Aug. 17 - Bogota, Colombia - [to be announced]

A U.S. headlining tour will take place in July, featuring support from THORNAFIRE and TORN THE FUCK APART.

The band plans to perform material covering all points of its nearly 20-year career — ranging from the earliest "Imperial Doom" days when George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (CANNIBAL CORPSE) was fronting the act all the way through to the current "Spiritual Apocalypse" disc, which is available now on Conquest Music Inc. (USA) and Metal Blade (Europe).

Commented MONSTROSITY drummer/founder Lee Harrison: "We are eager to get back on the road and prove once again why MONSTROSITY is a force to be reckoned with. The 'Spiritual Apocalypse' release is, without a doubt, the band's strongest to date and we want to make sure everyone has a chance to see us live supporting it. Also, we will focus on 'Millennium' and 'Imperial Doom' songs since there weren't too many of those tracks on the last few tours. Support will come from THORNAFIRE from Chile who are a promising new band and TORN THE FUCK APART, whose moniker says it all."

Fan-filmed video footage of MONSTROSITY performing the song "Sacred Oblivion" at the Maryland Deathfest on May 24, 2008 can be viewed below (clip uploaded by YouTube user "sassmonkey666").
