More Details Emerge About SHINEDOWN 'Madness' Deluxe Edition

October 28, 2010

According to The Pulse of Radio, more details have emerged about the upcoming deluxe CD/DVD reissue of SHINEDOWN's 2008 album, "The Sound Of Madness", which is due for release on November 23. The set will include limited edition B-sides, alternative versions of several album tracks, and songs previously heard only on movie soundtracks. Among the highlights are the first single, "Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)", an acoustic version of the band's massive hit "Second Chance" and their contribution to the movie "Alice In Wonderland", "Her Name Is Alice".

"Diamond Eyes" will arrive at rock radio stations on December 6. The song first appeared in last summer's Sylvester Stallone movie, "The Expendables", and frontman Brent Smith told The Pulse of Radio that the band had a chance to hang out with Stallone while he was editing the film. "It was really, really awesome to meet him and it was really cool 'cause he was like a kid," he said. "He was excited to show us, you know, what he was doing, and it's really refreshing to see a man, you know, that's been in the business for so long and has just played some legendary, I mean legendary characters, still be excited about art and movies and blowing stuff up and making people go, 'Wow,' you know."

The DVD portion of the set will contain the music videos for all the singles from "The Sound Of Madness", plus live performances filmed last year in Atlanta.

Fans who purchase the reissue will also receive a free one-year membership in the group's fan club, "Shinedown Nation", which includes access to pre-sale tickets, exclusive contests, message boards, news updates, and more.

SHINEDOWN will kick off its first-ever acoustic tour, called "Anything & Everything - An Acoustic Evening with Shinedown", on November 4 in Tampa, Florida, wrapping up on December 9 in New Orleans.
