MORGANA LEFAY Announce New Drummer

May 22, 2006

Swedish "heavy doom progressive" metallers MORGANA LEFAY have announced the addition of drummer Pelle Åkerlind (LEDNOTE, ROCK TOOLS, live session member of BLOODBOUND) to the group's ranks. "We will continue as planed with playing festivals this summer, and a European tour in September," the band write on their web site. "After that we’ll start preparing for the recording of our next album."

MORGANA LEFAY's latest album, "Grand Materia", was released in April 2005 via Black Mark Records. The follow-up to 2000's "SOS" (released under the LEFAY band moniker) is a concept album about Nicholas Flamel, a 14th-century alchemist who supposedly lived on forever.

MORGANA LEFAY performed at the Chicago Powerfest 2006 in early April at Mr. Kelley's Music Box in Chicago Heights, IL.
