October 24, 2005

Swedish "heavy doom progressive" metallers MORGANA LEFAY have been confirmed for the 2005 edition of the Bloodstock Festival's X-Mass Party, which will once again be held at Dudley JB's in England on Sunday, December 18. Tickets are £12.00 Doors are at 7:00 p.m. Three or four additional acts will be confirmed for the show. More information is available at www.bloodstockfestival.com.

"This will be the first show ever in the U.K. for MORGANA LEFAY but hopefully not the last in this country where the legend that inspired their name was born!" the band said in a statement.

As previously reported, MORGANA LEFAY's video for the track "Hollow" has been posted online at the group's official web site. Check it out at this location.

MORGANA LEFAY's latest album, "Grand Materia", was released in April via Black Mark Records. The follow-up to 2000's "SOS" (released under the LEFAY band moniker) is a concept album about Nicholas Flamel, a 14th-century alchemist who supposedly lived on forever.

MORGANA LEFAY frontman Charles Rytkonen joined fellow Swedes TAD MOROSE onstage to sing "Matters of the Dark" during the two groups' joint appearance at the Chicago Powerfest in April at JJ Kelley's in Lansing, Illinois.
