MORIFADE Part Ways With Singer, Seek Replacement

August 9, 2004

Sweden's MORIFADE have parted ways with vocalist Stefan Pettersson. The singer's official statement on the matter is as follows:

"Due to personal reasons I have decided that my days in MORIFADE are over. I would like to thank the guys in the band, it's been a wonderful journey! Best of luck in the future! I would also like to thank my family and friends for their support and understanding through the years. But above all my thanks goes out to all the fans around the world for your everlasting support and devotion. Thank you for some truly unforgettable moments!"

The remaining members of MORIFADE have issued the following statement regarding Pettersson's departure: "Stefan's decision to leave the band did not come as a chock to us when he broke the news a couple of months ago, we had felt this coming for about a year and a half. We thank Stefan for his long time in MORIFADE and wish him the best of luck in the future!

"All this means that right now we are searching for a new vocalist and we have several singers waiting to be auditioning for the band, in the meantime, ALL SINGERS are welcome to send us demos and info about themselves if you are interested to be the lead vocalist in MORIFADE!"
