MORNING Parts Ways With Drummer
September 13, 2007Dutch female-fronted metal band MORNING has parted ways with drummer Mauro Pi due to "musical differences." According to the group, "there are no hard feelings, and of course, we are still good friends. For the upcoming gigs Jim van de Kerkhoff (UPLIFTED, MORTON BLACK) will be joining us live as a session drummer. There will be auditions to find a new drummer at the end of September."
MORNING recently entered the studio to record its sophomore album, due late 2007/early 2008 via an as-yet-undetermined label. The follow-up to 2005's "Hour of Joy" (Black Lotus Records) is being produced by Gail Liebling (GAIL OF GOD),who has previously worked with such bands as CALLENISH CIRCLE, CRUACHAN (as a producer),FEAR FACTORY and SYMPHONY X (as a sound engineer).
