MORS PRINCIPIUM EST recently parted ways with guitarist and main songwriter Jori Haukio. According to the group, Jori "decided to leave the band after seven years and three albums" because "he felt that MORS PRINCIPIUM EST was not his thing anymore." The group has already acquired a session guitarist/replacement in the form of friend Karri Kuisma.

MORS PRINCIPIUM EST's debut album, "Inhumanity", was reissued in February through Listenable with completely new artwork and with three bonus songs. The band's most recent CD, "The Unborn" was recorded at Tico Tico studio (SONATA ARCTICA, SENTENCED, FOR MY PAIN…, ALTARIA) in Kemi, Finland. The album cover was designed by Mattias Norèn.
