MORTAL SIN: New Album Artwork Posted Online

February 7, 2007

Vocalist Mat Maurer of reactivated Australian thrashers MORTAL SIN has issued the following update:

"Our fifth album, 'An Absence of Faith' (view cover at this location) has now been recorded. We finished off the last piece of the puzzle over the weekend and are extremely pleased with the result.
With just the mixing stage to go now, we look like being able to be release sometime around April/May, and we can then look forward to playing some more shows."

As previously reported, a nine-minute video of MORTAL SIN performing live at Germany's Wacken Open Air festival in August 2006 has been posted online at YouTube.com. A video interview with Mat Maurer conducted by Italy's Terror Metal can be viewed at this location.

MORTAL SIN last year recorded nine live tracks with producer Phil McKellar as a pre-production demo for their upcoming full-length release. The band also issued a single, "Out of the Darkness", containing a video, plus live tracks taken from the band's Australian tour with ANTHRAX. Watch the "Out of the Darkness" clip at this location.
