MORTAL SIN: New Demo Tracks Posted Online

January 20, 2005

Reunited Australian metal band MORTAL SIN have uploaded three brand new demo songs at their official web site. The tracks "Out of the Darkness", "Lost Within" and "Rise or Fall" were recorded at Party Pig Studios in Sydney and mark the first time the band had recorded any new material since 1996.

MORTAL SIN are close to finishing off the last few songs for the upcoming release, "Far from Extinction", and will spend more time recording demos and getting pre-production done with engineer Greg Clarke.

As previously reported, MORTAL SIN will be inducted into the "Hall of Fame" at Kerrang! magazine's first-ever Australian Heavy Metal Awards, which will be held on February 4 in conjunction with the country's premier metal festival, Metal from the Brain. MORTAL SIN will also perform a special live set on the night. Vocalist Mat Maurer says they will be performing several new songs from the upcoming release "Far from Extinction" for the first time, as well as a medley that includes "Blood Death Hatred", "Women in Leather", "Into the Fire", "Liar" and "Mortal Slaughter" — songs from "Mayhemic Destruction" that were last played in the set back in 1988.

The MORTAL SINweb site is being uploaded over the next two weeks and will include "lots of cool information" on the band and songs from the past four albums.
